I bought this stand for my Yellow Naped Amazon. He had a multilevel one that he would get into too much mischief with. I chose this stand because I like the 1 perch only design. So, the box arrives. There are no directions for assembly. normally I would not care since the picture is on the box, but the manufacturer put mine in the wrong model box (haha). The stand itself is very attractive for almost any decor. My Amazon did manage to break the seal off 1 of the bottom of the bowls giving the "I ain't standing on the new perch tude". We welded it back on its base. So far so good on the repair. Once the bird got over the "new" perch fear, he figured out how to climb down the side rails connecting to the silver tray. If your bird likes to rip paper like mine...plan to invest in a lot of Poop Off as it took my Amazon a whole 10 mins, if that, to figure out how to get onto the tray. My personal opinion is the perch on this stand, due to the toy arm, should not have a bird bigger than an Amazon, African Grey size. Now, cons: the bowls. They screw on the perch and if you have an impatient bird...have a distraction ready. The bowl closet to the the toy arm I have to squeeze the perch to the arm and twist the bowl on while shushing an Amazon. Not a huge fan on the screw bottom design either. The do not sit level on the counter/table while you try to fill w/ water or food. My Amazon broke one cup the 1st day. I also agree the wheels are not so great. So verdict...It's a nice stand for the price. It holds up to my Amazon's abuse (after the whole bowl repair).I have an umbrella cockatoo that had a huge play stand that he could easily climb off of. You'd leave the room for a minute and he was on the floor looking for mischief. I know this stand was not favored by other large parrot owners but so far I'm happy. It's looks nice so I don't mind it sitting out. It's easy to clean. My U2 could throw his food dishes on the other stand this one he can't so less mess. He's yet to figure out how to climb off it. He prefers sitting on the toy hook which I wish he wouldn't but it makes him happy. The hook is easy to take off if I decide I don't want him up there. The stand was easy to put together. Here's why I gave it a 4 and not a 5: the wheels do not roll good and I have hardwood floors so they should roll fine, but don't. The stand is a bit shakey when my TOO climbs around on it. This first scared him but he's getting use to it. The silver tray was scuffed when I pulled it out of the box and got a few more scrapes from my TOO raking his beak on it. Thought it would be more durable than that. Overall though I'm very satisfied and can't wait to get rid of his old stand.I have used it for almost a year. It is not a good quality stand, however it is easy to ensemble and carry around. I have a huge cage for my yellow blue macaw at home. I only use this stand when I need to bring my bird to my friends' or family's house for several days. The stand size is ok for a large bird but the structure is not sturdy enough. It shakes easily when my bird is trying to move around. One of the feeder fell off just recently.Very disappointment Both bowls fell right off again, Im sorry I wasted my money 2X, the first I did not receive and was promised bird toys for my parrot for inconvenience and never showed and when I received the 1st replacement bowl was already broke and now both are off again :( would have worked if welded stronger, hardly anything to keep it together connected to bolt. And NO I did not screw bowls on to tight.Very nice stand, well made however in order to use food cups they have to be unscrewed each time. The bowels that are attached to the standing bar offer no solid support for when the parrot stands on the edge..They wobble and eventually break off. and have to be repaired somehow.Nice stand, sturdy and suits my blue and gold macaw well.Great stand !!! Shipped fast. Was a breeze to put together !! :) :) Very happy with it !!!!! And that's a fact Jack !!!!
