I measure a head size of 58.5cm, which, according to GIRO's size guide clearly states I'm a "Medium". Ahhh, no. I received a medium and it didn't fit (big pressure points from the base EPS on both right and left sides of my head). It was too small. So, I re-ordered a large. It fits exactly how it should & is perfectly comfortable. NOW, it could be that my head is more rounded than long & narrow, so maybe that has an effect, maybe not.As far as shipping... I haven't been a fan of UPS for multiple years now. I suppose I should be happy that this helmet wasn't lost forever, or damaged, but with both FedEx & even USPS as competitive options UPS needs to do better than loosing packages for days on end and Amazon simply stating "if you don't receive it by X you can request a refund".Husband likes the clip on sunglasses feature, and that it keeps sweat out of the eyesUsing the shield for best aerodynamics leaves you sweating like crazyFirst of all, I was excited about this till it was delivered. It’s brand new and yet the retail box was ripped on the top and front he sides as well. Figured no biggie, just a box. Next I noticed the helmet felt used and not new, had a weird smell, but benefit of the doubt might be a manufacturer thing like smell of new car. So I tried it on and fitment was good, except the visor does press up against my upper ears and visor felt a bit sharp.Another thing is the tail blocks the ability to adjust the tightness on the back of skull. I have skinny fingers and found it very difficult to adjust on the fly.Then I notice there was this brown dirty spot on the helmet. Looks disgusting like poop or something, didn’t want to mess with it by then as now I’m totally disappointed.Finally, for $300 I would think it should come with a carrying case. Most others in this price range comes with a case. If this was around $150, it would be a good choice, but considering how this is suppose to be new, yet with all those listed, something just doesn’t add up.I've worn this on several training rides now, along with a couple of races. While it's hard to really evaluate precisely how much it helps, I think it is safe to say this is worth a few seconds per mile for sure. In cold conditions, it was quite good to wear, once it gets over 80F, I would say it's a bit too hot for anything over an hour - sweat starts getting on the inside of the visor...I was quite distraught when I first put on this helmet after receiving it from amazon. It didn't fit. I brooded over a solution for a couple of weeks and then had a go at removing the clear plastic layer between the polystyrene helmet and your head. It actually did the trick. Now it's a very tight fit but useable.I cycle in Vietnam and there is a lot of sun so I really like the wrap around visor to give UV protection to the face. I think the overall construction is very high quality and it looks very good on you.received this new helmet last week and have had one ride with it so far. really like that the visor covers the ears to help block out some of the wind noise. wasn't too warm, but seemed to do a good job at ventilation. one annoyance with any helmet that has a visor is going to be sweat dripping on the inside, but that's something you just have to live with.Love the feature to hold the visor up, although when placing and removing the visor it feels like it's a two hand job and that might be tricky during fast transitions during a race.I bought this helmet for triathlon racing. I just used it in Oregon Ironman 70.3 and averaged 19.8 mph for 56 miles, no drafting, not bad for age 61. I used the tinted face shield with my contact lenses and was able to see even heading southeast into morning sun. It wasn't an overly hot helmet considering it's aero. I was able to reach my fingers inside the shield occasionally to wipe sweat from my face.First time I wore this is was very self conscious as it’s a pointy go fast hat. However once settled down into the TT bike it feels secure, comfortable and - as all the reviews will tell you - it is fast.Good ventilation though I do always sweat down the visor no matter what helmet I wear. Visor clips very solidly in place with no rattle and stores upwards very well too. Easy adjustment with the standard giro dial behind the head. MIPS is an added bonus that doesn’t take away from comfort at all.Beautifully made, but has a dark visor and no clear one available. The dark one is OK on the track without trees but on the road on a dismal day or riding into the dark shade of trees you won't see those potholes and bits of branch in your path.Love the helmet but the strap adjustment is quite poor. I’ve emailed Giro, Tweeted them and sent an Instagram message and had NO reply! Disappointing customer service from Giro.Expectations exceeded! Great product at a good price. Light-speed delivery!The helmet is a lovely fit and overall great product.The shipping however was sub par. There was two pieces of used chewing gum stuck inside the box of the actual helmet.
