I've had this bike for about 8 months now and use it for off-road riding 2 or 3 times a week in a slightly hilly, rather sandy area. So I think I've put it through some valid paces. Sure, it's not a $3000 bike, but it's worked VERY well considering how much it cost.I notice about half the reviews are one-star. I assume these are written by people who don't want to take the time to read the instructions, and expect it to work flawlessly with no adjustment. Here's my advice: EXPECT TO ADJUST THINGS BEFORE RIDING IT. LOOK AT THE DERAILLEUR ADJUSTMENT VIDEOS FROM PARK TOOLS ON YOUTUBE. If you do this, I bet you'll end up agreeing with me.I admit that I can't get a perfect adjustment to all gear combinations, but I can go as high and as low as I need. Also, I've replaced both tubes with thorn-resistant alternatives after having several flats, and I had a chain link break. But replacing tubes and fixing a chain link are procedures every mountain biker should know. For the price, the features are outstanding. For me the keys were the front shock-absorbing suspension and the front and rear disk brakes.I expect a $300 bike with these features to cut some corners. So far, the only one I've found is the rear derailleur mounting. A normal rear derailleur is attached with a sacrificial part called a "hanger" that can be bent to adjust it, and replaced if it's broken. On this bike, the derailleur attaches directly to a structure that's integrated with the frame, so if (when?) it breaks, it may become impossible to reattach the derailleur. This structure was slightly bent when the bike arrived so I had to adjust it, but it's worked fine, and could give me years of service. If you don't know how to adjust a derailleur hanger, find some videos on YouTube, but instead of buying the expensive tool they suggest, I just used a yard stick I held flush against the mounting bolt...if you watch the videos, you'll understand.Bottom line, if you want to ride a mountain bike you should probably know a bit about rudimentary adjustment. If you do know these things, you'll be able to make good use of a bike that does a very good job of optimizing features at the lowest possible price point.Nice paint and tires, bent gear shifter, not easy to assemble.La calidad es muy baja incluso para el precio. Por más que aprieto las tuercas se vuelven a aflojar y las llantas se desinflan muy rápido. Llego dañada pero por mi trabajo y mi localidad es muy difícil caer una devolución. No la recomiendo, encierras mejores bicicletas más baratas en WalmartFor the price this is a real disappointment ! A part broke first few rides, got it replaced but took forever. Now certain areas of the bike is rusting and we don’t use in the rain of course.I bought this bike 3 times, each and every time it has shown up damaged. The rear gears have been bent each time and the chain falls off immediately when attempting to change gears. I am so angry because the bike itself looks great and my daughter loves it which is the only reason I kept hoping the bike would show up in working condition. Unfortunately the third time was not the charm and now i'm stuck with a bike that does not work and I missed the return window by 1 day. So now i'll need to take a brand new bike to a local bike shop and pay more money to get this bike to work. So frustrating, buyers I'd pass on this one.I’m not a pro biker. Was looking for a bike to ride around with the kids. Easy to assemble. Comfortable to ride. Pretty light weight and it also looks good. So far I’m pleased.THE PRODUCT WAS RECEIVED DESTROYED. IT LOOKED AS THOUGH SOMEONE HAD RETURNED IT AND IT WAS DECIDED TO JUST SEND IT TO SOMEONE ELSE.!!NOW, I AM STUCK WITH A DESTROYED BIKE AND NO PRESENT ON JULY 10TH FOR MY GRANDSON, $328.98 GONE FROM MY SOCIAL SECURITY!We gave to this to our son for his birthday. It was winter here so he wasn't able to use it until recently. The second time he took the bike for a ride, when he tried to shift the gears it pulled the mechanism into the back tire. Very disappointed! It wasn't a cheap bike and now it doesn't work.
