I ordered the medium based on the sizing chart and it fit perfectly. If you've never worn a full face helmet before it may seem a little snug but if a helmet isn't snug it's too big to properly protect you. It shouldn't be uncomfortable though. The d-ring strap has good padding and you don't notice it at all after putting it on. It's not super-light but for the protection it offers it is light enough. I wore it for the better part of 6 hours Saturday and it was perfectly comfortable. The padding isn't overly snug or uncomfortable in any spots like some helmets and the recesses for the ears are perfect. I didn't use the camera mount or the earbud/speaker channels but they're nice features. My GoPro camera mount did not include a nut for the thumb-screw or whatever but maybe that's normal. Not worth a ding either way. The adapter will work fine if needed and it's a nice touch. I'm more concerned with the safety features that I hope to never need - ample padding, solid construction, MIPS, removable cheek pads, etc. As someone who worked in EMS for over a decade I really appreciate that feature - something I've only seen in higher-end motorcycle helmets. It helps remove the helmet with minimal manipulation of the neck. Nice. I've only used the helmet once so far but I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It’s a full face helmet it does what it’s meant to doI purchased this for my adult son for Christmas, he loves it and can't stop telling me about it. He rides a one wheel and is just getting into competition. He has a pre-existing brain condition where it makes it even more critical to protect his head. I have peace of mind while he does his crazy sports. Worth the investment.Shopped hard for this helmet, and use it all the time for non-downhill trail riding. Very solid, but reasonably lightweight, and keeps my head fairly cool. Very happy with this one!I have a giro half shell helmet in medium, and if anything, it's a little large. So I got this full face in medium, and it is slightly small, especially in the cheek area. That said, it is pretty comfortable and feels solid. I haven't crashed in it but definitely feels like my head is cocooned nicely. It is harder to hear from inside this helmet than I anticipated, but again, I can't compare it to anything else.I paid $108 for this helmet (new), and I'd say that was worth it. But, a lot of the size/color combinations are selling for 160 or more. For this price, you can also get a brand new Bell Super 3R helmet (full face with removable chinbar), and I think I would much rather have that if given the choice with roughly equivalent prices.Bought this helmet for my 7 yo daughter for bmx racing. MIPS was a must for me. The small fits her perfectly, and she loves the colour. The only thing that could be better is the chin strap. It uses D rings which is pain to get on/off, especially for a 7 year old. Otherwise, great helmet for BMX or DH/EnduroI bought my helmet from Bike Helmets Direct. There was some damage from shipping but I was sent a replacement promptly and customer service was top notch. Replacement helmet was perfect. Looking forward to trying the go pro mountI am big fan of Giro mtb products. this helmet fits true to size. very comfy interior, and seems built well. Gives a real sense of safety. May be a little heavy ,less ventilated compared to top dollar versions of Fox, or TLD. If you race enduros, or ride long runs in the hottest months, you may want more ventilation.
